1. Fast Track to Grade 5 theory

1) Fast-Track to Grade 5 Theory with Miles 🎓

We run two online courses for this module: 1 course for children and 1 course for adults. Anyone who plays any musical instrument or sings is eligible to join this course. All ages and levels welcome.

The ABRSM Grade 5 Music Theory Exam is a compulsory exam that students of all instruments (including Voice) have to take in order to progress to Grade 6. The exam’s result is out of 100, and the student needs 66/100 to pass. This module gives you the fantastic opportunity to study with our wonderful music theory teacher Miles whose students all attain merits (80/100) and distinctions (90/100). You can take the Grade 5 Theory Exam at any point during your musical journey - you don’t have to wait until your Grade 5 instrumental exam in order to take it.

Message from the teacher: Music Theory really is the workings behind the beauty of music! And because all students going through the ABRSM exams in their instruments will have to pass their Grade 5 Music Theory to progress to Grade 6 and beyond on their instrument, Fireworks Music School is offering a ‘fast-track to Grade 5 Music Theory’ online course of 45 minutes per session. The course will include a lively, fun, and engaging approach to the 12 topics of the Grade 5 Music Theory Examination, and will maximise success. You don’t need anything to join in except a pencil and paper. Join in the fun!

The course will consist of 12 online group sessions (45mins each): £15 per pupil per lesson.

In the last session you will learn a simple 10-minute daily warm-up routine covering a range of movements, setting you up with the right fundamentals for your practice sessions and for a lifetime of enjoyment. At the end of the five sessions you should feel that your hands are stronger and able to do more complicated movements with greater ease. Challenge yourself and join me in the Finger Gym!
